Overton Black-anodized Low D for Sale

I’ve developed a new flute obsession, so I’m selling my low whistle. I’m asking $225+$10 shipping. New it was $280+shipping and then the long wait for the anodizing. It’s cool looking in black. I bought it straight from Colin Goldie in Germany. If you are interested, please e-mail me for more info and photos. Thanks, John G.

Oooh damn, that’s wicked tempting…

Tell me about it… I have an Overton low d though. I would probably get Blackhawks tunable one for $225 if I were to go that route though.

Ah, but the anodised ones do look and feel good and they’re resistant to finger marks.

Never seen anodizing that did that and black would be the worst in this regard I would think. My plain aluminum one does not show finger marks.

My blue anodised is 7 months old and well played but still looks brand new.
I’d guess it’s not so much the anodising that’s kept it that way as the teflon coating.

Yup, Colin has his whistles coated after the anodizing, so they don’t collect fingerprints, or scratch chip like the usual anodized bits do - it’s a surprisingly durable and attractive finish, not that flat/mat looking stuff you often see.

Teflon whsitles? Well whatever you do, don’t use your Low D as a Gigantic Cigar holder. When teflon gets realy hot it emits a very toxic substance. The same with teflon pans. Cooking bacon on a teflon pan is a pretty big no-no. Besides cast iron tases better for bacon.
