Any comments/suggestions welcomed (gulp!)

I’m 12 minutes into this. I like this. I’m glad there is singing too. My big question is “What kind of Vespers do you folks normally have?” I’ve always know Vespers as a religious service.

I listened to all but the last couple of minutes because I accidently closed out of the website. I cooked dinner and did some chores while I was listening. I noticed very nice whistle playing at 43 minutes. Enough that I went back to computer to mark the time. I don’t listen to ITM because it all sounds the same to me. I think other people would like your music too. I’ve never listened to 43 minutes of anyone’s music on this forum. I thought you played well together and there was nice balance among all of you.

Thanks Mute-- we were guests at this church, so it’s not “our” vespers. I think they do a different type of music each week on a rotating basis: jazz, classical, Celtic, etc. In between the musical pieces, the minister does some religious bits. It’s pretty low key and fairly non-denonminational. I’m Jewish myself, and yet I could relate to most of the service. It was a great way to spend an hour on a Sunday afternoon.

Paul, I thought that was great! I’d never heard of a vespers service with drinking songs, but that’s COOL!!

You guys have a good sound. Nice balance and rock solid tempos. My only comment would be to ask why you’re chained to the key of D? It becomes especially noticable on The Irish Rover when the lead singer hits the top of his range and becomes Johnny One Note. You might want to consider G or A for that tune to let the melody ring.

Overall though, a really great job! You guys should be proud of yourselves. You can tell that work went into it. Very nicely done!
