In todays Washington Post comics a new old comic strip started. It is called Opus by Berkely Breathed. I hope it is as good as Bloom Copunty used to be. Hurrah for the penguin.

I am still waiting for the return of Pogo. Several years ago I remember handing out a ton of I Go Pogo buttons. I don’t have a single one myself.

Yep, we got it here in Philly too. Of course, I thought it a bit odd that it should take up twice the space of any other comics. I didn’t think Breathed would still have that kind of pull after all these years.
I am glad Opus is back, and I’m interested to see what comes of it. The first one was a bit vague, but it looks like our flightless friend is back in Antarctica, or some similar place. We’ll have to see if that’s really the case, and if any of our other friends from Bloom County days will appear.
