OT: the new Pixyy Lycra free non corset Avatar

For those who missed the debate about the fabric and function of the garment I wore on my previous Avatar in the now defunct (hurrah!) ‘We need a good Fight’:poke: thread, started my our good M. Milner - well, be glad you missed it.
I have been deeply hurt; but my therapist suggested the best remedy would be to ‘go back into battle’ so-to-speak (he speaks very funny), by posting a new avatar representing my good self.

So here is my new, concert style, cotton shirted and single coloured, black and white avatar - of me playing flute, presented to you on the whistle board.

thank you,

Well, in interest of good dialogue and understanding among the Chiffsters, I’ll point out that the pictures in my avatar are not of me, but of St. George and the dragon. Here is my picture:

Ok. I confess my avatar is not me. It’s one of the English kings.
I bet I had everyone fooled.

I thought it was a picture of Abigail Van Buren.

This concert-pitch-black cotton shirt will serve you as a straight jacket.

Talking of Lycra… beware: O.T.! Don’t rid before you beach, or vice-versa

Just watched the end of the finale of a world championship event of Women’s Beach Volley (no cheap puns please, leave them to me…) in Athens (yes, Greece).

As you know, this sport is played in bikinis (esp. with the current weather in Europe), and as with any TV’d sport, every strand of string–I weigh my words–is used for sponsors’ names.

Now, I wondered why all the girls in this finale, i.e. all four of them, were sponsored by the initials “BRA”–guess on which piece of the bikini. All four sported the same word, smack on the left, er, above the heart. Or could it be just an identification, so they don’t confuse the pieces while dressing up, with all the before-game stress? I checked, when given a chance by the cameraman, the matching piece, just in case it would be labeled “PANT” or something in this spirit. Nope.

Then I caught up with the comments: both teams were Brazilian. Some smartass referee or official of the BRA beach-volley Federation should be hanged for such blunder…

Oh, yeah: Brazil won.

Close. Maybe they were related.

I’ve changed it again. It’s still not me! HA

I don’t think Abigail Van Buren ever wore that much lipstick.

Good point.
