OT - The illogic of class scheduling.

Fridays. 9-10, 10-1, and 2-5 are scheduled for Senior Design. Hypothetically, there is a lecture from 9 to 10 and group work time for the rest of the day, with occasional guest speakers.

Today - I leave the house at 8:10 for my half hour commute. Brush snow off the car, actually get moving at 8:15. Hear on the radio that traffic is backed up on all three of the major highways that I could take. My 30 minute commute turns into an hour and fifteen minutes on very snowy, slick, congested roads. I get into the classroom at 9:26. A guest speaker is presenting something. He ends at 9:30 and we are released until another speaker at noon.

WHY did I get up and risk the snowy roads today? Can anyone tell me?? Argh… :imp:

yep it makes you wonder

here in the uk most of the intresting “adult education” as they call it ( eg geology etc) takes place mid afternoon - great I work 7.30-5.00!

I’m in my second semester here at this silly university, and I still don’t understand it. Often times, it seems even more stupid than high school, if such a thing is possible.

Go figure…

I have a ten minute walk to and from work everyday - Nor rain, nor sleet or dark of night can keep me from work and I love it!
I feel sorry for those that have to start their day by driving a car any distance to get somewhere else.
