OT: old coins

edit

Go to Amazon.com and do a search on COIN and VALUE and they’ll give you all sorts of info.

Go to Google.com and try COIN COLLECTOR and do the same.

There is a HUGE population of coin collectors who’ll be happy to talk with you and give you the range of value for various coinage.

Also, if you want to do it the old fashioned way, you can check coin value books out of the library. I inherited part of a large coin collection years ago and that’s where I started.

Just like in anything else, you have to be careful who you deal with with coins because there are those people who, sadly, just want to rip you off. So definitely look at either an internet site or a print book to at least have an idea what you have if you want to sell them to someone.

Good luck with the coins! I didn’t get a sudden interest in collecting them when I inherited what I have, but it was somewhat intriguing to look at them and see what I got, and I sold some of them to pay for one of my trips to Ireland, which I enjoyed very much!!
