OT: Mental Health Help

I recommend that you download the following sound file (very small file) and configure your computer to play it every time you receive new mail.

Trust me, I’m a doctor.

Now, who will be the first to identify the sound?

You must bring us…a shrubbery!

Ha! That was a blindingly fast win!

It would have been faster if I hadn’t needed to look up the spelling of ‘shrubbery’

What in the hell?!

Whatever it is, it’s funny!

I never tire of it. (Meds need adjusting).

Well, my MAC said it couldn;t play it but I deduce it was the Knights who say Neemp based on the shrubbery, which I would be hiding behind if I went to that nudie Oregon thing.

Hey, Djale, who won the Rjose?

Since we’re talking about mental health here… you should try this test.

I’m not sure I know how to post a direct link on this board, so you may have to cut and paste this link. But it is worth it! You have to wait for the page to load (doesn’t take too long on my 56K modem).

Dear TheWeekenders.

The deal on the Rose is that, as I said at the beginning, the Crisis Center entries were only part of the fundraiser and that there will be a second opportunity for people to enter by donating to a charity. I’ve tried to work something out with a particular charity but the problem has been that they aren’t set up to take credit card donations. So, this weekend, I’m going to send out a notice that people can enter by donating $20 to the Crisis Center. That will move things along and, hopefully, we can have the drawing in one month.

Is anyone an actual ‘pythonfan’ on here?

-Ross

Besides myself I mean…

Does “pythonfan” have a special definition?

I will take a nibble.

Monty Pythons Flying Circus
Search for the Holy Grail… (or however you spell that last word) The Knights Who Say “NI”

I work at a summer camp, and you wouldn’t believe how many of the kids are familiar with the movie.

Between that movie and Star Wars they go around quoting all sorts of clips from them.

There was one boy who was not familiar with it by the name of Tim… He did not get it when I said, “And you can call me…
‘Tim’”

My son found on the internet a site that you can get the whole script from. I do not know the address off the top of my head.

Laura

Mmmmmmm…

Monty Python…

insert homer simpson noises here

Did anyone go to the lego link in my first post?

Dale wrote in original CrisisCenter thread:

"In addition, I offer this for Chiff & Fipple members only. If you enter and make the people at the Crisis Center aware you are a Chiff & Fipple member, in addition to the above prizes, you will be eligible to win a brand new Fred Rose D whistle, in African Blackwood with sterling silver trim. … Fred was kind enough to donate this beautiful and valuable whistle for our fundraising. Only Chiff & Fipple members will be eligible for this prize and some Chiff & Fipple member will win it.

Soon I’ll be offering you an opportunity to win this whistle through another route. I’m finalizing arrangments with another charity and we’ll offer one chance to win the Fred Rose whistle for every $15 donated to this additional charity. More about that later. (We’ll have some people entering through the Crisis Center fundraiser, some entering through the other charity fundraiser.)"

Well it was not clear to me that we had to enter TWO contests to win the one whistle.

So I am eligible to win it only if I enter a second contest or does my name gets thrown in with new people who did not pay the $60?? And if I send you the inflated to $20 do I have two chances or one? Sorry, Dale, but I didn’t get it. I won’t ask about it anymore.

To Ross: Say no more. Know what I mean? Say no more. Does she like to sport a bit? Know what I mean? Say no more.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 10th anniversary. One of my son’s godmothers did an overnight with them. We went to a nice dinner and then spent the night at the Anniversary Inn (very romantic). And, as part of our evening of “entertainment”, what did we do? Why, watch Monty Python’s the Life of Brian, of course! (I know, we’re just totally sick people.)

Am I a Python fan? Welllllllll…

Weekender:

You have, at present, one chance to win the Rose. You don’t have to do anything else. If you contribute more, you’ll get additional chances.

I’m sorry it wasn’t clear to you but I still read the language as clear. If you’re feeling ripped off, email me.

Publicly I say: I don’t feel ripped off. just didn’t get it.

Best wishes,
The Weekender
