OT - Live near Leixlip, Ireland?

I got a phone call from Ireland today! Can’t say why right now but it’s made me hyper again and it’s only 8:20 AM!

I would like to hear from anyone who lives or has lived in/near Leixlip, Ireland. It’s near Dublin, on the edge of County Kildare. Please email me (take out the spamblocker) or message me, thanks!

Hmmmm, have you got a job offer? Sounds like it! I don’t think you can expect that much music in this area though, but never heard of the town itself…

Nope, not a job offer, though that would be cool. You don’t there would be much music there? The whole county is named after a whistle…

Oh, that’s probably the other way around, huh…

Unfortunately, I don’t live near Leixlip (pretty far away, in fact ) but there are pockets of music around, if not in the town, and in Kildare you’re pretty near about 5? 6? other counties that will have music (there seems to be quite a lot around Co. Meath, and of course also in Dublin city). But good luck!

A long time ago I lived in Dublin, which is a little to the east. I don’t have a clue what this is about. Are you looking for music in the area? I’m off to Canada next week, and I found some good places to visit in Toronto by looking up the Internet.

How do you pronounce Kildare?

Just like it’s spelled, but it sounds like two separate words. Kil Dare. It’s Gaelic for Church of the Oak, Kil being the word for church.

…and what does Susato mean in Gaelic? Sounds Japanese kinda

(although my first Low D was a Susato Kildare)

I spent a lot of time in Leixlip when I worked for HP 5 or 6 years ago. Nice town and lovely people, and so close to Dublin.
