OT(kind of): POEM HELP-PLEASE!!!

Hi everyone,
I was hoping to get some input on a poem I had to write for Western Civ. about the rule of Oliver Cromwell. I know there are quite a few of poets on this board so any input or suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

Oliver Cromwell

I am Oliver Cromwell
the man who raised an army
And executed a king.

I dissmiisd parliament
and my soilders drove tem out
Lord Protector is my name.

I drafted a consitution
no theaters or amusement
No merrymakingor sporting.

Harsh as I ruled the English
even harsjer I ruled the Irish
Hated by the Irish I be.

I am Ireland
A nation ruled by pain
No freedom for me

I have watched my childen die
cut down, tortured and killedCatholic priest and fiars

In the town of Drogheda
9,000 were put to te sword
In Oliver Cromwell’s name.

I have seen injustist
All Irish families driven out
Make way for the English!

I am Mother Ireland
a land ruled by hate

I am the muse Cleo
one of the nine I be
I have seen Cromwell’s rule

He ruled with an iron fist
Over England, Scotland and Ireland
Wiping out all cnsidered unholy

No fun for him
Entertainment be
too sinful, too lively, to free

For I am Cleo,
Muse I be

Okay, just to let everyone know, I am not a great poet, soooo yeah…One thing I was thinking of doing during performing the poem for my class was playing a song on my flute and whistle inbetween parts of it.

Well, thanks. I hope people can give me some input or suggestions.

Looks good to me! If there is something
you wish to say about OC, as a summing up, you might find a way to say it at the end,
simply and forcefully.

Just watch your spelling.
