I just learned that my aunt Theresa is dying of breast cancer. I’ve only met her a couple times and hardly remember her, but she has six children and its not going to be easy for them. She got a masectomy but its already spread to her liver and brain. If you all could just send good thoughts and wishes for a peaceful passage both to her and her family, I’m sure they’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

There’s a part of me, and maybe others too, that would rather steer clear of even thinking about this. I think it’s because stopping to care brings us a small share of someone else’s pain. Well, Soineasta, if we don’t stop and share the pain on this day of all days shame on us.
And thank you for sharing this with us. I know from my experience with my daugher that prayer changes things. We experienced one of those one-in-a-billion “coincidences” that changed a life. Within 48 hours of my daughter’s nervous breakdown I was sitting on a plane beside a woman whose mission in life was to help girls caught up in the crap that had ensnared my daughter. She talked to me about it (another coincidence) and it turns out she lives with 20 minutes of my daughter (another coincidence) and my daughter actually called this lady…a miracle in itself! Literally hundreds of people were praying for Sarah and a life got turned around.
We went to church with Sarah last night.
