OT: Jin-gle Bells! Jin-gle Bells! Jin-gle All The Waaaaay!

I can’t believe the sharding snow! lol I got back from rehearsal last night and it was raining pretty hard, and then I wake up this morning, and I have 6-8 inches of the white stuff!

Grrr! It’s not that I don’t like the stuff, it’s just that I have to work today… OUTSIDE.

Plus, we’re not even past Halloween yet, and it’s already acting like Christmas…

Anyhow, so did any of you get snowed on last night??

Where are you at? We’ve still got another two months until snow starts here in NJ. Make a whistling snowman

For Pete’s sake, Jim, elves live at the North Pole! Everybody knows that.

Susan

Its been snowing here (Saskatoon, Canada) on and off for over a week. We are having a much colder fall than usual … sigh

Not snowed in yet, but it’s trying to blizzard out! Here is South Dakota we pay close attention to weather warnings! Nothing on earth like a SoDak blizzard! I learned, I stay in! Hope I have enough grocieries!

No sign of snow in Wollongong. A few bushfires last week though.

No snow, just lots of rain… ::sigh::

 No snow where I stay for a looong time

Well, in response to an earlier post, no, I do not live in the North Pole. That is a common misconception among mortals; another misconception is the one that states that us Elves wear funky hats and shoes and work for Santa Claus.

No, this Elf lives in the Mountains, in the region commonly referred to as the Pacific NorthWest.

I wish to return to Rivendell
Where peace & Elven folk do dwell;
For I’ve journeyed far through Hill and Dale
To the East & West of which tales do tell,
But none is so fair as my Rivendell.

True enough Whistling Elf,

I am of the Coastal Elves and we live by the Ocean amongst the forest and hills of Ladysmith.

Today it is sunny and beautiful, no snow expected until January and then only for a few days!

As for the hats and shoes, only for formal wear.

Sandy,
Elfin Queen of the the North

Exactly!! We Elves are not as legends and myths portray us.

It doesn’t snow in Miami…

Well, it’s snowing outside in SLC right now. I think you jinxed us. :frowning:
Susan

If it ever snows here, Ill let ya know!

It’s snowing in SLC? Where? Here in Magna (8 miles away from SLC, for those of you not familiar with Utah geography) we have clouds and chilly weather, but no snow.

Hey Kiirsi - no baby yet?? My office is by the University of Utah and it snowed lightly for about half an hour. Sun’s out now thank goodness.

It doesn’t usually snow here until Easter. Still no rain, though…kinda odd. A few miles up the road, though, the Sierras are as bare as a baby’s backside…probably will be for another 4 weeks or so.

No snow here in Scotland but 12 " of rain in past 10 days. MOst of it seems to have come through my bedroom ceiling as well. What was that I heard you say about my whistle over clogging?

The weather guy says it’ll be snowing here later this week - no accumulation, but it’s still WAY TOO DAMN EARLY!!! Illinois has a grand old tradition unofficially referred to as Idiot’s Night. On the night of the first freezing rain, every moron who got his drivers license from a bubble gum machine or who’s forgotten how to drive since Spring, goes out and menaces everyone else.

And, of course, our old furnace died and we won’t have another one before late next week at the best. I’m thinking of moving all the dogs into one room and sharing their sleeping pile.

EEEk! :astonished:
