Has anyone tried GHB synthetic drone reeds in an uilleann drone? If so, how did it sound? Just curious.

They will not fit the bore of Uilleann drones as their OD is considerably too large.

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but if anyone’s interested in trying something new, it might be worth getting in touch with Ronnie MacShannon who makes the Ezeedrones - he custom makes reeds for other bellowspipes, so he might well be interested in trying out something for uilleann pipes.

Ez’ makes speciall narrowbore dronereeds for smallpipes and borderpipes.
(Also for GHB there 's different bodysizes, lengths etc for different bores and dronestocks). Perhaps they can make some for UP’s too.
