Hello! I’ve lived in Boise for over 10 years now (my wife is a native). Please, let me know if you have any specific questions after checking out those two links. I’d be glad to try and help.
The local paper is the Idaho Statesman and it is published in Boise. If you do a “google” search on the internet for “Idaho Statesman” it will tee that up. You just may also want to do some searches on Boise, Idaho.
Having friends or family in both locations, froma weather perspective, Klamath Falls OR and Boise ID share almost idential weather/temperatures.
Boise is a great town, has a university there and has some other local colleges in the area. It is at the foot of the mountain range and its just a drive up the mountain to beautiful Payette Lake. Apparently, the secret about its quality of life is starting to get out as it has experiencd some real population growth in the last 10 years.
Just curious, but who is your internship with (if you’re able to divulge that info)?

Boise is in the ‘Snake River Basin’ area, and that means a lot of farming land, and “deserty-looking plains-like areas.” Metropolitan, I guess you could say of the city itself.
I live in North-Central Idaho, but I’ve been to Boise a few times. Personally, I didn’t like the scenery, but then again, I’m quite used to trees and greenery.

It’s official! On June 3rd I will have my first day in the job in Boise, Idaho. Hopefully by that weekend we’ll have a session set up! hehehe.
Any folks with experience in the area I would appreciate your thoughts on any of the apartment complexes. I’m in the market for a studio apartment near Chinden Boulevard.

My mom grew up in Twin Falls. I remember visiting it when I was a child and it seemed like a very small town, but I visited it a few years ago and I couldnt believe how much it had grown! Boise, of course, is even larger than that. I’m sure you wont have any trouble finding a good place.
