OT: I'm a dad!

It finally happened; on Monday 29 July at 4.24 PM, my wife Tine gave birth to a lovely girl. Iben (as she is called) weighed in at 3150 g, with a length of 49 cm. The birth itself went fast and was relatively easy for Tine. Mom and daughter (both of whom left hospital on Wednesday) are both doing fine.

Despite having been seen (and photographed) with a low whistle, at present little Iben seems more intent on sleeping and eating.

Cheers,
Jens

Congratulations! Now the fun begins. Having three boys; 15, 17, and 18 years old, I can tell you that, whatever you’ve been up to in life so far, you’re about to really start living.
Of course, if this isn’t your first, then you already know that. If it is your first, hop on the roller coaster and enjoy the ride.

Congratulations to you and your new family!
Reading your post brings up strong emotional memories.
Having children is truly a blessing, nothing compares.

Take good care of both Tina and Iben (love the name by the way) and make every minute of your parental leave count.

Time to start practise those Celtic lullabies

Best wishes,

Grattis Jens!

Time to get a couple of high-end high F´s
ready for the new whistler in the family?

Spoil her real good with a copeland and an Abell!

/Peter

When my first was born, a wise man told me: Your life will never be the same! And he was right, in a wonderful way. Congratulations!

Congrats, Jens!

Congratulations.

Be a good dad. When she is world-champion whistle player someday, God willing, she might mention you at the awards banquet.

Best Wishes!!

And remember if you hug her EVERYDAY (even the bad days) she will still expect it (and welcome it) when she becomes a teenager!

Deb

Congrats!

After the ‘sleepless period’(which seems to last forever) your little one will grow up fast, so cherish every moment! It seems like only yesterday that my 2 year old son was a newborn.

Congratulations! Parenthood is the coolest thing – Until it happened, I couldn’t believe that being perpetually short on sleep could be so much fun.

Charlie

Heh, I just turned 18 and am moving off to college in a week and a half and my parents still think I’m they’re “little baby” and claim I grew up “way too fast” and I was “in diapers yesterday.”

Now they’re just like “We’re expecting grandchildren at some point, you know!” here’s the point where I’m rolling my eyes and whining for them to leave me alone

Congratulations! Little girls are the most precious gift! Cherish every moment.

Redwolf

Congrats; you’ve been blessed.

I’m very happy for you! Children grow very fast, so enjoy each moment with her because she will never be that small again!

Hey, Jens, that’s wonderful! Congratulations!

That’s wonderful! Congratulations!

Congratulations!! The opening chapter of the new way to share your love and experiences for the rest of your time here.

Congratulations! You have a precious gift.
And the long hours at nite with your little one will pass all to soon, so cherish them now. And hey, the word “easy” should never be used in speaking of giving birth. (Only a dad would say this, right moms?)

Congratulations, Jens! Another wee one to add to my list of C&F babies. Wish I had a copy of the Celtic Lullabies to send you but I haven’t had much luck in getting a new supply. I’ll keep trying. Blessings! Gm

Congratulations, Jens,
Enjoy every second of parenthood, the kids are gone way too fast.

Well Sam, you are,you did, and you were. I have the same feelings about my kids and they are 35, 36, and 37 years old. No matter how old you become you will always be your parents child.
