OT: Google ads at top of Index page

The ads at the top of the index page just caught my eye…I’d always thought they were there as a service to musicians & pipers who might take note and give these companies their custom, seeing as how they must be related to the pipes or music in general.


Here they are in order of appearance:

The ads are generated automatically by a computer program that scans the page text. So it sees it’s a forum about pipes, and tries to find ads that have something to do with pipes…

The ads in the whistle and flute areas usually work well. Maybe Google has to be informed that not all pipes are for plumbing.

But to be fair, most of the ads i’m seeing right now have to do with bagpipes.
