To anyone who wants to contribute to this thread, let’s put our usernames someplace easy to find in C&F. Then if you find a whistle on ebay you can quickly check (use the search function for “ebay username”) to see if you’d be fighting against a fellow C&F’er.
BTW Frank ~ did I possibly meet you a couple of years ago at a vendors tent at the Highland Games in Alma, MI? All at once your user name rang a bell with me. At the time I was so excited to meet another whistler…I tried to give the name of C&F and I can’t remember what I said but realized afterwards it was totally wrong. Just very curious here and if it was you…I’m so glad you found this site. Gm
Mine are henryfurd and phyrephly...but at the moment, it will probably be a loooong time before I'm able to purchase a whistle off of ebay, what with all the Irish music I bid on instead...
I am MissDDisme… AND AGAIN I AM SORRY GEEZ i feel BAD each time I think of the lovely whistles. AND…I DIDNT bid on the whistle bag once I KNEW someone from here was bidding on it.
I personally don’t see any reasoon for you to apologize. We’re all big kids here. If two of us want something, then we should both bid on it. The one who places the highest valuse on it will win.
I sell antiques as a sideline. That means a lot of real auctions. If I and a friend who might also be a dealer want the same item, then we need to decide what we think we can get for it and how much margin we need - and bid accordingly.
You can’t be expected to be a shrinking violet each time some other C&Fer bids. That might be nice of you, but it wouldn’t be very fair to you.
