OT Dale Earnhardt statue on ebay- You gotta see this!

You have to see this. And it’s not even totally off topic. I mean the statue is made of oak and there is a whistle named Oak, right?

nice but $15,000 !!! :astonished:

Wouldn’t it be cool if old Nick the Woodcarver turned out to be Nick the Taxidermist?

Gonzo, You are bad!

Stuff like that makes me think that either I was born on the wrong planet, or they were.

I have seen some real whistle fanatics, but this one hits the cake!!!
I mean, Oak is a lot more than a whistle and if you imidiately refer to a whistle when you hear that word, I think you need a vacation!!!

Actually, I’m surprised that there have been no bids, as bizarre as that sounds…Earnhardt fans are fanatics. And, this is close to my neck of the woods, my Dad was from Spruce Pine, my daughter lives near there, and I’ve got kin there.

Man, people are weird…

Now where did I put my set of dead rock star shot glasses?

This and other thread example indicate that “selling on Ebay” is more about conceptual or performance art than actually selling things in some cases.

They are not all lucky enough to have found a Chiffy environment in which to express these creative impulses.

Does it cost to post stuff if you don’t sell it?

It’s been over a year since I sold anything on ebay so things may have changed but there used to be an insertion fee for posting the item plus a fee if you used their webspace to store your photos.
