Hi peeps, I think most people’s conception of the work “fiddle” is very old fashioned now. It’s not all diddly diddly stuff you know. Players are involved in rock, punk, electronica etc. For example, I’ve been working with Folk Punk, Trip Hop, and Beats bands, all with the trusty electric fiddle 
Out of curiosity, exactly what is “Folk Punk”, and “Trip Hop”?

Hehe, well, Folk Punk could be jigs and reels (played quite often with copious amounts of distortion), intertwined with Iggy Pop grin
Trip Hop, is electronic boring sh*t. Kinda rapping over mundane depressing music. That’s my take on it anyway.

My partners maintain that fiddlers are
all daft. At least good fiddlers. They say the bowing
motion affects the brain. I consider that rank prejudice.
Unfortunately I can’t find any sane, good fiddlers.
