wow! i just received a cd of our own byll’s christmas music and it is wonderful!!!
it is filled with hammered dulcimers and acoustical strings. the songs are filled with joy and grace. can’t say enough good things about it! byll plays one of the dulcimers and no telling what else - no whistles, but the blend is sweet.
the inside jacket includes this comment: “With great sadness, the events of 9/11/01 have unfolded before everyone’s eyes during the production of this album. So many dedications and tributes have been made to those who have died and those who have lost loved ones. None of us has remainded untouched or will ever be the same again. We in turn, dedicate this Christmas album to humankind . . . and human kindness. God Bless us, every one.”
I explored a little to find sound samples on the web-- the above link will take you to the listening page for the CD. Lots to admire, I thought (in the few minutes of music I heard), especially the creative handling of “Greensleeves.” I love your arrangement skills, Byll.

Tomcat and Cara: Thank you for the kind words. This particular CD is special to the band for a lot of reasons. I hope our love for the music, and for what it represents, shows through.
Best.
