OT - answered prayer :)

Hey all!

I just wanted to drop a little note on what happened with my previous dead-end search for my heritage.

I’d spent a good while searching, and finally gave up, putting it on the back burner for school work, and, well, I had kind of forgotten, when out of the blue, the phone rang yesterday..

It was my great aunt, whom, as far as I can remember, I’ve NEVER met.

I didn’t get a chance to talk to her, or my great uncle for that matter, but my mother did find out exactly what I needed to know, and thensome!

Morris MacLaine and Margeret MacLaine were my great grandparents on my mother’s side down in Canadian, Texas, and owned the Canadian Motel and Resturaunt. Morris was her second husband (she was originally married to a Ludwyck I believe, but Aunt Beverly says he was somewhat a heavy drinker, which may be why they divorced). I think this took a heavy toll on my grandmother, but I won’t go there, for the sake of not putting anyone to sleep with all this =)

ANYway. I’m going to see now what I can find out about Morris, and the clan. Hopefully I’ll eventually know something. I’m also going to see what I can find out about the Ludwyck family as well… it’s more than I’ve had to go on in a LONG time (I hit a dead end on my dad’s side… all I know is my great great Grandfather was named “M. Green”, a fiery Irishman with deep red locks, from what the letters say.)

ANYway… again… laughs

Don’t ever stop believing in miracles… this was one I never thought I’d see!

Dia Dhuit Eira,
Slainté!
