Some makers seem to push the fact that they are copying some individual set of pipes, in fact one maker has based his whole career on it. Then other makers don’t mention anything about copying anyone’s pipes at all. Which is better??
The one that works best and sound just right to you. 
After comparing, of course. If you are not qualified to tell by playing the set, have someone you trust do it for you. It seems there was recent discussion of some maker, Rogge I think, who improved an original for O’Flynn–if I remember correctly.
