Original Bernard Overton?

Hi, I am trying to trade my low E whistle, see

When I bought it about a year ago I was told it is a original Bernard Overton. I have no reason to think otherwise but can anyone confim it based on the pictures below. There’s no ingraving in the tube indicating a Goldie whistle.

It does look like one of Bernard’s whistles rather than Colin’s. For a start Colin writes:

All Overton whistles I have made, have either my name engraved inside the end of the whistle or would have had CSG stamped before the Overton on my very early instruments (pre 1998).

With the holes being relatively unfinished from what I can tell, it’s a reasonable bet it’s one of Bernard’s later whistles.

Got confirmation from the previous owner that it is a Original Overton.
I am looking for a trade, but what would be a reasonable price for selling you think?

That’s a tough one to answer. It’s untuneable but some people covet Overtons for their tone and as collectors items. Low E is probably more rare than Low D too. It depends on its condition but you might want to start at £200 and be open to offers. Tricky one. In reality, an Overton is worth what someone will pay for it.
