I’ve been given the job of helping some relatives find accomodations for a trip to Miami, Florida next winter. Looking for anyone who is familiar with or has been to the Miami area and is knowledgeable about hotels in the region. It doesn’t have to be in Miami, but nice, relatively easy to get to from the airport, and beachfront if at all possible. Thanks!
Possible areas: Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Surfside, etc… Aventura appealed to me for obvious reasons but I think it’s an expensive area…
I’m only a few miles from Aventura… it isn’t on the Beach.. however, it’s right next to a short causeway that leads to the Northern most part of Miami Beach. There are many hotels along the oceanside of A1A starting just South of that causeway that extend some 15 miles all the way past Surfside down to South Beach.
If you want ‘near the airport’ head due east to the ocean… that officially takes you to Miami Beach which is 3-4 miles north of South Beach.
