I’m looking for a website for information on Antique flutes - Rudalls and other good makes, ideally showing makers stamps for identification etc. and also advice on which are the better makes.
Thanks

I have some information and pictures on my website. I hope to add a lot more.
Michael Lynn’s website and Youtube channel are goldmines of information:
This a perilous journey on which you are about to embark. Your best bet is to join the Flute History Channel and The 19th-Century Flute (Historical Focus) Facebook groups. The members are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You will find the ideal number of antique flutes to be n+1.
Perilous to the wallet? ![]()
For Francophones, Vichy auction house has auctions that turn up some really excellent flutes from time to time: https://vichy-encheres.com/ Old catalogues from the past few years can be downloaded. Good pictures, not an awful lot of extra information though.
Also http://www.williampetit.com/ which has some very good photos of baroque and classical flutes, mainly French but including Grenser and other makers.
