It looks a lot like my own #821 and I love it: a lot of players will prefer bigger holed models. This works just fine for me.

Have you noticed, though, that when questions are asked of most sellers of these old flutes, 99 times out of 100 their remarks are usually…“I don’t know, I don’t play flute, I don’t know anything about flutes, I am just selling the flute, etc etc etc.”

On looking at the cost of heating oil at the moment, they may be worth the money.

I think they are not liable that way. They can say " oh, it doesn’t play, that is to bad, sorry." (they are thinking tuff toads!)
How can you tell? I can’t see a thing in those pictures–it just looks like a tube with some keys. The images are way too low-res (400X300 pixels) to tell anything useful about that flute.

But interestingly enough the seller knows enough to say it is a medium holed RR, i would think if you don’t know anything about it you wouldn’t be able to comment on that…just curious..

You have to import the photos into Photoshop, and blow them up.
the flute looks pretty clean, well cared for.
But not “shatter resistant”, by the looks of the crack.
