on the anniversary of his passing

this is a thread dedicated to the celebration of a life lived, not to the
tragedy of a life lost. this thread is dedicated to the memory of a good
friend which will never die and which will always be a part of me. today is
the second anniversary of his leaving. at his memorial and each
subsequent anniversary, his friends gathered, joined hands and sang this
song, per his request:

the song is the perfect tribute, for he did not take his life too seriously and
was never afraid to laugh at himself, nor, eventually, his illness.

He was something, alright. My family was blessed to have had a chance to spend a little time with him. The recent discussions of O’Neill’s work reminded me of his own research and writing on the topic. I happened on one of his whistle vids the other day as well.

We miss you Will!

Aye. That’s the one!

Poor guy. It sucks that he’s dead. He was always so nice to everybody.
