A tweaker’s dream. Where’s Vomit Bunny?
I had a Yamaha fife when I was a teenager. It seems like a transverse flute that fingers like a soprano recorder.
Sigh. I’ve tweaked all of those at one time or another. I’m more in the playing mood right now. Just got a couple of feadogs in C that have turned out super.
Oh, and I just got one tonight. You know the ones on ebay that look like woodgrain but they are plastic? I got one in Bb. Actually halfway decent. A little like a susato maybe, but sounds a little more like a whistle should. Still could use some more chiff, but that’s just my liking. Mouthpiece is comfortable too. Not tunable, but not bad for 15 bucks.
I should have gotten the FF insted I think. They make a DD for about 20 if I’m not mistaken. If it’s like the Bb, it’s at least worth that and then some.
Anyway, I’m not in the mood to grab more cheapies and tweek just this minute. Don’t tell anyone, but I’m thinking of getting a flute. Oh, and I have a fiddle coming this fall.
