I have a couple of recorders and a Generation whistle that served as my daughter’s teething rings. They look a bit ragged, but they all still play pretty well.

I had a tenor recorder with me, at my grandmother’s, one time, and my cousin’s baby saw it and wanted hold of it, so we let him, and he drooled all over it. It doesn’t take them long. When his mother was only four or five, I bought her her first recorder. Years later, she used that same recorder to learn music in school, and went on to play flute.
