odd word

I heard the word fugacity three times today. I believe it’s the first time I ever heard it spoken outside of a classroom.

My first time!

Ye need to get out a bit more..honestly..

Slan,
D.

It was a high fugacity rating that kept me out of office work.

Language!

It does look like it could potentially be something a bit dirty

It’s what I experience when the bodhrán* players show up … “the tendency to flee or escape”.

  • Substitute your own favorite maligned instrument.

It would also be a great title for a recording of Bach organ music: Fugacity.

Very Fugin good..

Slan,
D.

I tend to have memory problems when under a great deal of pressure. I just fuggedaboudit. I believe this is called the state of fugacity.

Reminds me of ‘fungible’. In the ‘weird-arsed word’ category.

Right, meaning: Capable of growing fungus. As in, “I buried my money in a pit in the back yard, where it is completely fungible.”

It looks like the name of a town in Asia. Maybe something like Fuga City, Japan, so named because of the tendency of the inhabitants to flee from Godzilla, Mothra, etc.

What am I doing on Chiff and Fipple at 2:00 in the morning?!
