hi,
I have a tweaked Mellow dog that I never had problems with. I haven’t played it in a week or more and yesterday I kept getting high pitched noises out of it regardless of what key I played. I checked my finger placement and even took some of my other whistles and played and had no problems.
I was wondering if maybe it needs a bit of cleaning or something and was wondering how to go about it or if there are any suggestions as to why it’s acting that way all of a sudden.
I did a search but I’m getting page cannot be displayed everytime I try searching.
If your finger placement is correct, it might be that something is stuck in the windway or on the blade. Jerry sticks a bit of clear plastic on the front of the blade; if that were to get knocked loose it might cause your problem. If you have gunk in the windway or on the blade, try to get it out with a piece of floss or a little folded bit of paper. If the blade addition has come loose, contact Jerry. He’ll know what to do.
Tom
If you don’t find something obvious, send it to me and I’ll sort it out. No charge for that.
Best wishes,
Jerry
Thanks for the advise and thanks Jerry.
I figured I would come here first to see how to clean it. I know you’re busy with all the tweaking and didn’t want to bug you unless it was necessary.
I’ll post if I resolve it with the floss thingy and if not I’ll get in touch with you Jerry.
