WEIRD.

I searched for the pipes on npr’s site about 2 days ago and read those articles. I was thinking about posting a link to them. Coincidence? You be the judge.

Especially since we’re also both (sorta) from Wisconsin!

Oh Yes, I’m DEFINATELY from Wisconsin. South Carolina (where I am for the moment) is not the place for me. I melt in hot places like this. Could you believe it’s still in the mid-upper 60s down here? There’s like a tropical downpour going on outside right now. Where’s my snow?

I noticed you were from Milwaukee awhile ago. Coincidentally, that’s where I go to college - 'from Fond du Lac originally. I’ve been meaning to ask you if you’ve uncovered any Uilleann piping scene around Milwaukee. I hadn’t found anything myself, but I didn’t really know where to look, either, besides Irish Fest. My friends thought I was crazy when I started going hysterical over the ONE guy playing the Upipes onstage at the Scattering this year. 'Wish I’d had gotten a chance to talk to him…

Oh, I DID find one lady who gives free Highland Pipe group lessons downtown. Can’t remember her name, though.
