Notation wanted please

Does anyone have the sheet music (or a link to it) for “I dreamed I dwelt in marble halls”? I’ve looked for it since James mentioned it in the “lullaby” thread, but can’t find it. ABC would do at a push if no dots!

I nearly know it “in my head” but not quite well enough to be able to play it, and I don’t seem to have a recording!

Thanks.
Lesley

Here is some information a midi file that should convert into notation is here

A sheet notation is here, you will only have to turn the melody into an ABC

I googled it as “I dreamed that I dwelt in marble halls” (which I think
is the correct title from the opera “The Bohemian Girl”), and found this:

I found it here, but it’s not free

I haven’t found a free version, which is annoying, since the copyright on this piece has long since expired.

Here’s a midi file–I don’t know how good, because I can’t listen at work, but many music programs will turn midi to dots…i’ll do it myself tonight if the midi’s good and a free version hasn’t turned up by then.

Thank you all! That’s great! I can learn it now - when I’ve transposed it! And I had obviously better learn to spell, then I could find it myself!

I just found that too…you guys are quick

You spelled it right in the original post, anyway. I just had to add the “that”
to get to the right page. Most people do leave it out, which is why it is hard
to find.

I just noticed that I typed it wrong in my previous post – it’s “in marble halls”
not “as marble halls”. Ugh.

Transposed it!
Played it!
Know it!
Happy now!

Thank you. I had found lots of references to both it and the opera, but not the sheet music, which of course was what I was actually looking for!
