Luckily, this diver only required a few stitches and wasn’t injured further.

The video for this is a little difficult to watch, and it is surprising she didn’t injure herself gravely. Who ever said that diving wasn’t a contact sport?
Ouch! That’s a very expensive diving board she’s making free with. It always bothers me to see athletes abusing their equipment.

I always cringe when watching Olympic diving; they always come so close to the board.
It’s amazing this sort of thing doesn’t happen more often.
While on the high school swim team, I saw several such events… …slipping right before the end of the board, scraping one’s back, etc. At least in football, if you are knocked out there is no chance of drowning.
I haven’t as of yet. My wife forbids me to watch that kind of stuff as I am inclined to go out and try it myself… seriously. 
I’ve stopped watching it myself. I started feeling guilty. Though the announcer is hilarious sometimes.
