Northumbrian small pipes on e-bay

Hey gang,

This just came out on the woodenflute list today, so I thought I’d pass it along. Heck, If I hadn’t spent so much on whistles this week I’d probably think about buying this set myself!

Nah, come to think of it I live in an apartment - they’d evict me :frowning:

Dear All,
There’s a lovely set of pipes on eBay at the following address. The “Buy it Now” price is ridiculously low but still out of my pocketbook’s range (the exchange rate on the Canadian dollar is merciless!). I hope one of you snatches it up!

No, no, you won’t get evicted, at least not with an F set. NSPs are not at all like the loud brash highland pipes, but are more the volume of a fiddle. Now a concert G set might be more of a problem. Plus, there are people in the States who can put this set into working order for you (new reeds, etc.) - email me if you want more information or contacts. BTW, most NSP music lies very well on whistle also, and NSP fingering is, well, sort of similar (one finger lifted or key pressed per note; fingers produce the diatonic key of nominal G).
