Hey folks,
This is Larry from Emerald Rose, one of the organizers of the North Ga Celtic Festival. This was an “experiment” we started last year, owing to a lack of Celtic pretty-much-anything up in the Gainesville area, and we were mighty pleased to find over 1000 folks turning out for it. This year we’ll be expanding to two days, we’ve got 19 bands lined up, an indoor and an outdoor stage, and we’re recreating an “irish pub” with session music, Guinness, Bass, cider, single-malt and pub food.
Should be a fine time! Love to meet some C&F’ers at the festival, be sure to come up and introduce yourself. I’m particularly interested in keeping in touch with other Uillean pipers, since I’m a ways down that road myself.
August 2&3 in downtown Gainesville at the Georgia Mountains Center.
