Hi All!
Does anyone know if Norman ever made any clearer pictures of individual Clarke whistles in his collection? Particularly the older brass ones? Also, does anyone have a larger / clearer version of the picture with his whole collection?
Sadly, neither his collection nor pictures of it make any appearance in his book on the history of the Clarke whistle. 
I wish could help you. I am a big fan of the old Clarkes. I have a lot of whistles in my kit, but most times, I reach for the original Clarkies to play a tune.
Nothing quite measures up to them.
Yeah, I like the old tapered whistles as well. The main reason I asked is I have what I think might be a very old Clarke and wanted to see some good closeups of Mr Dannatt’s whistle collection. Sadly, no pictures of his old Clarke collecttion appear in his history of the Clarke whistle!
