No one told me this would be addictive!

This is my 4th post, I just ordered a Dixon D w/brass slide, From the Whistle Shop! Thanks to everyone that help in my decision!
Now I am already thinking of buying another. No one told me that collecting Whistles would be so addictive!

Stop now, Rene! It’s too late for us, but save yourself!!

Yep, very addictive!

I just got my first whistle in May. I have five now. A river-cane whistle, a Feadóg D, a Meg in both D and C and my best whistle, my Susato D.

My husband is hoping this is some kind of mid-life crisis and that it will end one of these days.

To NOT be addictive must mean you are gifted with invisible hand-chains…

I, too, have been inflicted … going for an Overton only after one month low whistling!

Run Rene, run!! Run for your life! Save yourself! Tis too late for the rest of us!

Rene,

Stop while you still can!

We are the Chiff. You shall be Fipplemated.

Ah, Rene, you should have checked the archives on this one. Addictive they are. I started playing in May and you don’t want to know how many whistles I have now. Luckily, my partner has also taken up the whistle. And we have a friend who acts like this with guitars – which makes me look quite good in comparison.

I’ve slowed down, though. There are only 2 more whistles that I know I want. At the moment . . .

Maybe you can work some trades with your knives. If I was a whistlemaker, I’d trade with you. I can sure use a good chopping knife. And I’ve always wanted one of those big knives like Crocodile Dundee had, where he whips it out and says “Now that’s a Knife”! Anyway, you should try out a couple Burke whistles while you’re at it.
