Nice Drones for Practice and Tuning

Some really nice, high quality looping drones here:

The app version is also nice and works well.

I have been using these during warm-ups to work on intonation and they can be fun to play tunes over as well for a bit more depth or texture.

Anyone else use drones for flute practice or performance? Any other good sources or more ‘acoustic’ options besides pre-recorded loops? I’ve also used the organ setting on my Yamaha electric piano before, but I find a string or reed tone has a lot more harmonic depth.

I use the Drone Tuner app quite a lot. It’s not free, but they do use real instruments- and a really cool spirograph-like graphic to display your intonation vs the drone (best with headphones for this feature).

Nice, the graphic aid looks really helpful.
