Not mine, don’t know the person selling. Anyone know about the design on the cover?
So who got it, and what comments on it?
No idea who got it - that’s a loopy price (c£145!!!) to pay for a case, however nice and in however good condition. I’d have thought maybe £60 would be reasonable. Clearly at least 2 people really wanted it!
Not sure what you mean about “the design on the lid” - that’s just a fancy brass escutcheon inlay for engraving an owner’s initials on or whatever - classic Victoriana style-wise, and maybe a bit larger and fancier than some, but that’s all it is.
Not brass…silver. And no, I’m not the one who dropped the major wedge on that case!

Fools!
What part of invisible flute do you not understand?
Very rare and quite magical.
I own two. I could part with one if the price is right. ![]()
You’re telling us that just in case, right, Aanvil?
sure… but can ya find 'em?
Uh… well sur… DAMNIT!
Be careful not to sit on them…
Best wishes.

splinters?!!?
splinters?!!?
Shards of invisible flute? Ouch!
Looks like a standard emperor’s flute to me.
Of course, you’ll all have noticed that it is, in fact, impossible to have a standard, 8-key, invisible flute.
Why?
No see.
Another one, not as classy though:

Perfect for those black wooden flutes audience members call a clarinet!
