Played on my birthday bought Generation B Flat (November 16th there abouts) have a Merry Christmas from an Irish whistling newbie 
This is a non tweaked Generation Bb whistle and is beautifully chiffly to my ears would you agree?

Welcome to the forum.
If you like your Gen Bb as much as I like mine (although it’s a Freeman tweeked model) then you may up for many hours of enjoyment.

The Freeman tweeked Gen Bb is stable throughout both octaves, plays in tune with itself and has the ability to be tuned (if somewhat limited, from standard 440 to 443) by moving the whistle head (mouthpiece) on the whistle body. The tone is somewhat more refined and easier to control. I have 3 untweaked Gens, a G, C, and a D. Apart from the C which is good the G and D take a lot of breath control to stop from playing out of tune and sounding shrill in the upper octave. These have been cleaned up and have had a limited modification.
Not that the standard Gens are not OK if you are lucky to get a good one then it can a great whistle. A lot of mass produced whistles can have some finishing issues. There can be bits of plastic left in the windway, under the sound blade, the body can be rough where it has been cut and connects with the whsitle head. These finishing defects can effect the way the whistle plays. Some can be difficult to play in tune in both octaves especially if you are playing with other musicians.

Thank you for the tweaked whistle characteristics. I’ve only had my Generation Bb from mid November and like how it sounds. l have recently heard a few tweaked Bb Gen’s and can’t say that I actually like the cleaned up tone my airy Bb sounds more traditional to me that said it would be nice to have access to a whistle that provides the purer/cleaner tone for other tunes that sound great when not so airy.

I’m still nipping away at this tune though more on D whistle. I know where the ironing is needed it’s just taking time. This evening for posterity’s sake…
I recorded and posted to YouTube this latest progress version played on my Dixon trad (D) brass. I need to work on the missing note in part two
16th note descending arp. Timing is off (a tad rushed and a touch of Red-button-itis) I can hear the tempo shift from start v finish though
this has to be expected as I’m only now getting comfortable with the tune and haven’t done much ticker practice with it.
For now its onwards… I guess
