I have been trying to learn the Penny Whistle on a Waltons for about four weeks now but have just discovered a lot of green appearing around the bottom half of the barrel. Can anyone tell me what has caused this and how to remove it please. Thanks
I have this in my brass feadog whistle. It’s probably mildew…
Brass? Corrosion/oxidation of the metal. If you want to avoid it, it’s always a good idea to clean the whistle of saliva after playing.
Oxidation happens.
I used to have that problem, but now I drink my crème de menthe after playing, not before.
