I don’t read German, so what are Bantry whistles?

Babelfish translates it as this:

Bantry Whistles are full metal flutes from nickel plated brass and in manual work are manufactured. The mouthpiece is likewise completely manufactured made of metal. Of the Intonation are similar the Bantrys as the well-known Whistles with the plastic mouthpiece. The sound of the Bantry’s is however substantially more hauchiger. At a really interesting price we do not like the Bantry’s taken in the program, since they are a good alternative for people, those at the beginning so much money to spend would like or already times and continuously an instrument on a session lie-let… Prospective date of delivery for the Bantry’s: July 04

Anybody have any more info?

Beginners/practice low d for 39.50

I am not if they mean ‘smoking’ or ‘rough, hairy’ describing the sound as rauchig. :stuck_out_tongue:

“hauchig” = breathy. Think Shaw, I guess!

Oh, and to Filzmaul: no flutes, just whistles? :astonished:

Liebe Grüße,

Az

They stock Moeck Ren. and Baroque Flutes.

“Very breathy”, nickel-plated brass… Is it just the standard Irish name slapped on the “made in India” we see all over eBay?
