here is a tune I wrote in ABC format. Please distribute and perform widely so long as the story remains attached to it and the tune remains unchanged

The Story Behind Eva’s Reel

Eva’s Reel was written on 11 August 2001 for Evangeline, a friend of the composer. This pseudo-reel (a traditional reel having 8 measures per section instead of 12) was dedicated to the beautiful young woman (a harpist, actress, top-notch musician and lover of all things Celtic) on her 21st birthday, 23 December 2001.

The “real” gift was not the piece itself, but the dissemination of it far and wide along with this story, to immortalize a special and remarkable woman through the Celtic music she loves so much.

Hi,
I first heard Eva’s reel and liked it.
I am from Mexico and currently studying in Ireland.
I like very much the traditional irish music, and I think that I am going to try to play this reel. I will be going to Mexico, altogether with its story, since I am very fond of keeping stories.
