Hello Christel… Welcome to the Forum, I’m a “newbie” here. I thoroughly went through your blog and website and I must say VERY NICELY DONE. Great graphics, audio all worked, and very easy to use. I’ve added link to my favorites as well.

I could use a lesson or two.

No helpful at all, would help if the played in time and slower.
wiz.

ytliek,

Thanks for checking it out!

She didn’t advertise it as “lessons.” It’s a blog that showcases her talent and what songs she’s teaching her current crop of students.

Also, I’ve seen The John Whelan Band perform a few times and they’re very good. If she’s their whistle/flute player, she’s no slouch.

Try the Amazing Slow Downer application, and more listening, i hope that helps you. Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks Jim, and yes, it is a blog that showcases tunes that I presently teach at the New York Irish Center. It is also available for ANYONE who is interested in learning the tunes who do not take classes or lessons with me as well. Although it was mentioned that the tunes were not played slow enough, the truth is, teaching the tunes slowly is what i do in person, not online. There is handy software out there to slow the tunes down that work great if you need it. I enjoy recording the tunes at a comfortable level. It allows the tunes to sit well in the timing, and ornamentation.

Hopefully our paths will cross soon at a show or festival soon! I do play for John Whelan’s band on flute and low whistles. Thanks for the post, Jim.

You are very welcome of course, but I’m not Ronnie.
