Each First Wednesday of each month, Sep 1 through May: 7 - 10 pm - Naomi’s Fancy is hosting a traditional Celtic Music Session (jam) in the Sawbriar Acoustic Stage at 111 E. Main St, Downtown Pilot Mountain, NC. We suggest a study of the Ceolas site concerning instruments (avoid the spoons, please) and resources available on the internet. You should follow good session etiquette and recording will be allowed as the best way to learn is by ear. A donation to support the event is appreciated.

Yes. However, in real life Mt. Airy (Mayberry) is a fairly large town, and Pilot Mtn. (Mt. Pilot) is a small town. In the show it was the other way around.
Funny how a little media exposure will do that. Took me a little bit to figure out why so many businesses in Muskogee have “Okie” in the name.

Hi Fancy Friends!
Just wanted to let you know that we’re playing this coming Saturday, August 28th, at Mountain Breeze Music in Mt. Airy. We’ll be playing from 9:30 pm to 1:00 am, in conjunction with a wine-tasting.
Mountain Breeze Music is located at 1415 Fancy Gap Road. Just head north on Hiway 52, and watch for the Mayberry Mall intersection. Roughly a mile after, turn left onto Old Fancy Gap Road.
We’re also starting a Celtic jam session on Wednesday, September 1st, at the Sawbriar Acoustic Stage in Pilot Mountain. It’ll be from 7:00 to 10:00. Bring your whistle (or fiddle, etc.) and come on down!
