I just got my practice set ( made by William Smith “D”) back from B.C.Childress. He put in a new reed & tweaked them a little & they sound great!! I can change to both octaves easy even when the air is low (sometime i forget to pump the bellows) also the bottom “D” requires very little air. Now any thing wrong is the fault of the piper. Great job Bruce!!!

Where are you from ?
I’m from Memphis,Tenn. Very few uilleann pipers around here ( just one I know of, Jeff Doty who recommended Bruce to me) Has anyone ever heard of William Smith pipe maker? I’m learning from " The Art of Uilleann piping" but would take help from anyone.
