My new Goldie Overton big hole low D came in the mail yesterday. All I can say is AWESOME. It’s probably the most perfectly finished handmade instrument I have seen yet. You really have to blow to get the high notes out of it. Both octaves have a very full and strong tone though.

Congrats and welcome to the club. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of enjoyment out of it. And don’t worry about the blowing strength. You’ll find yourself hitting those notes the more you play. It just happens naturally.
