New Oak and Tutorial

I just received my delivery from UPS. A new Oak D from the whistle shop and the Ochs Tutorial. The whistle is different from the others I have. It takes very little air and the transition from one octave to the other is smooth but very quick. It does need more breath control than the others I have been playing but once I get used to it I think it will be one of the most played.

The Ochs Tutorial is great. I wish I had bought it when I first started. It would have made learning easier and quicker. I will now start working my way through it. I intend to start at the beginning and work through it step by step.

I got that gued too, good…but…whichever guide I buy, they always sooner or later start with notation. i can’t read notation. I’ve tried to learn, but I’m too dumb.
Now I just try to learn everything by ear, sometimes I use my amazing slowdowner, great software.
