New Member Says Hello, Won't Reveal True Identity

Hello Everyone. My name is Cinead [This is a secret alias name I use on the web to keep from revealing my real name.] One hint to my real identity is that I am from Oklahoma.

There have been many sitings of me in the past, but I have cleverly escaped being photographed or captured.

What? You think I’m Elvis?

What? You think I think I’m Elvis?

Come on now…everybody knows Elvis is dead. I know because I visited his grave at Graceland and asked him, “Elvis, if you’re dead, say, ‘Nothing’.” He said, “Nothing.”

Actually, I’m just haveing fun with you so,
don’t think I’m crazy. I know I am, for I, like most of you play Irish whistle in traffic and subscribe to Dale Wisley’s Chiff and Fipple Newsleter. It’s a healthy crazy though…Nothin’ really but good o’ Irish fun.

Speaking of Elvis, if Elvis were to sing an Irish song it would go something like this: “And a Lepruchan hides…in the meadow…”

By the way, 23.9 percent of Oklahomans are of Irish decent. Only Massachusetts and a couple of other North Eastern states in the USA have a percentage more. Irish people in America out-number Irish in Ireland. Over here, Boston is called northern Ireland. The rest of the country is just called Ireland. If Northern Ireland really wanted to remove the last vestages of British rule, all they had to do was ask us for help.

Back to whistles…

My interest in the Irish whistle began with “Titanic” and really took hold a year ago with the beautiful music of “Lord of the Dance.”

My first learned instrument was and is the piano. I have played professionally for many years. I have been fortunate to find that much of my knowledge in music from piano has been transferrable to the whistle.

The hardest part, after learning the initial fingering for the notes, has been to learn how to blow at the right amounts to avoid the squeeks and squaks. After that it was fun to learn the bends, slides and ornamental trills. I have found that getting a quality whistle makes all the difference in the world.

I am a songwriter and have begun to write music on and for the Irish whistle. I am also a producer and author. I have even written a serious book on finding and living your purpose in life. No one may request a copy of it, however, because it would reveal my true identity.

Actually, only two persons know my real name on this message board. I have subscribed to the C&F Newsletter for quite a while and e-mail Dale on a frequent basis about a new, top-secret, project I’m working on.

Someday, in the not-to-distant future, I’ll break the news to all of you before the public finds out. In the mean time, I look forward to reading and sharing comments with you here at the Board on a regular basis.

All the best,

Cinead

So Cinead, will it be SOONER or later that your identiy becomes known.

My family settled in Oklahoma after the Civil War, in Kingfisher, which I visited oh so many years ago in the 60’s.

I have lost contact but I think some still live in Norman. We are of Irish descent.

Story in our family is that when Edna Ferber was researching her book Cimaron, the character Yancey Cravat was partially taken of my great grandfather, John Thomas Bradley. Who before moving to Oklahoma was a senator in the state of Kansas. Quite a character.

I consider myself somewhat of a Sooner,
And Oklahoma isn’t that big a place that someone can’t be found out , given the profile you have of yourself. So Sooner?
or later Cinead, the truth will begot out.

Mark

I won’t tolerate this secrecy. The true identify of this individual is

Vice President Dick Cheney.

I know Mr. Cheney’s not from Oklahoma. He just said that to throw us off.

Dale

Thank you, Dale. I feel much better now. Cinead, or should I say, Mr. Cheney (is Dick, OK?) it never pays to play with the great Wisely.

See, I knew it wasn’t John Travolta.

Erik

No Eric it isn’t Cheney. It’s Al Gore with that beard of his. Or maybe Timothy Leary, reincarnated in Oklahoma.

Cinead,
I am intrigued…Can you tell us if you are male or female?
Many moons have I poundered on my purpose in life…the answer is still evasive. But it is said that when you do something with passion and you loose track of time, you are exactly where you should be.
I guess my purpose in life is playing the whistle.
What do you think?

Sibyle

“Do you perform a service, or are you in the service Industry?” -Dorothy Kilgallen

What is a Kabalarian?

I know who you are. Should I tell?

For MarkB - The Kabalarian Philosophy was founded by Alfred J. Parker in 1930. He was a universal yet practical philosopher always seeking the reason or principle behind the experiences of life. After he discovered key basic laws of mind, he lectured, wrote, and taught these principles in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Presently the Kabalarian Philosophy is studied in centres in Western Canada, in California, in the Netherlands, and by correspondence students around the world.
The philosophy is non-denominational; it is open to all people seeking a logical understanding of life. The philosophy teaches the following principles: how mind is created and balanced; how the balance of mind influences health; how cycles govern the cyclic unfolding of mind through time; and how mental development towards a more universal perspective can be achieved through applying these principles in your life. In established centres, there are ongoing classes in all aspects of the Kabalarian Philosophy. Weekend workshops are offered to correspondence students to gain this understanding in a more concentrated study format. (from http://www.kabalarians.com/OnLineSeminar/faq-New.asp )

I once thought I saw Elvis at a 7-11 …

Oprah?

I know who you are.

Buy the Bodhran - or I tell!!

Better yet, if two more people buy a bodhran, I’ll tell anyway!

Steve

I have found that getting a quality whistle makes all the difference in the world.

At the risk of changing the subject to the ETERNAL one and revealing my current obsession, which quality whistle(s) would it be that makes such a difference???

Dear Whistle Family:

I will neither confirm nor deny that I am Dick Cheney, but the other day when President Bush played a full game of golf, I got in a couple of strokes.

I will also neither confirm nor deny that I am Al Gore. For now, I am keeping my true identity in a lock-box.

I will also neither confirm nor deny that I am Timothy Leary. For as I have said before, “Why Not? Why not. WHY NOT!” (www.leary.com)

I will also neither confirm nor deny that I am John Travolta. Wait…Yes I will confirm that I am not John Travolta.

Actually Dale, the great and powerful Wizzard of Whistles, knows my real identity. For he knows all.

True, it may never pay to play with Dale, but he may, on a whim, play with you.

Steve,

Getting others to buy a Bodhran from you is a great idea. But, let’s think about it for a minute. Why not wait to tell until everyone on the Whistle Board has purchased a Bodhran from you?

I can really help your business improve if you’ll work with me here.

Dearest SteweySmoot: No, I am not in the service industry.

I have resisted until now, but not anymore. For the record, as you know, I know who you are, too. And I’ll ask again…

Madonna, what is the point of all this???

Jessie

Seriously, I do know who you are.

It took me less than 5 minutes to do the research. You inadvertently provided a piece of evidence to the forum that was very easy to investigate

I have your name, address, phone number and the name of at least one organization with which you are affiliated (actually you are its Executive Director).

Sibyle

Dearest Sibyle:
Thank you for your sincere reply. Yes, each of us can and should know our purpose in life. I know mine without a shadow of a doubt.
Proverbs 20:5 says, “The purposes of a man’s heart are like deep waters, and a man of understanding draws them out.”
That goes for women too, of course. The book takes the reader through that process of understanding.
Purpose is identified by things much deeper than passionately pursuing something, or losing track of time. Drug addicts do that.
Good news…whistling could still fit into your purpose.

Lovingly,

Cinead

Dear Gary (garycrosby):

Huh?

Kabalarians think they know me. They think they know all of us. But do they really?

A name search is wise, though. A famous Scot bore the name.
