has anyone heard dierdre connolly(of ctl) new cd? it has at least one great whistle solo on it…more specifically, where can order it?
If you are referring to her CD “A Song in Turn” you can order at the CTL Site. http://www.cherishtheladies.com/orderinfo/orderform.html
I love Deirdre’s new CD! I was fortunate to have her as a teacher at Irish Week at David & Elkins College this summer. She was fantastic–fun, patient and encouraging! She’s a great whistle player, singer and dancer. Three of the pieces she plays on whistle are originial compositions. Lena’s Jig is in honor of her paternal grandmother who was a fiddler and passed the music on to Deidre’s dad, Mattie. The View from Annie’s honors her maternal grandmother in Galway who, when she heard about Lena’s Jig, said, “What about me?” Clyde’s Kisses was named after her parents’ fifth child, an adorable, spoiled dog named Clyde.
Hope you get the CD–it’s a treasure!
